Oracle Workshop

Speaker name:
Ewan Slater

Topic:
Serverless Database, Serverless Functions

When:
Thursday 30th Jan 2020, 9:00 – 11:00
(The day after ITOUG Tech Day Milano 2020)

Location:
Oracle Italia, Viale Fulvio Testi, 136, 20126 Cinisello Balsamo MI
(same location as the event)

Oracle’s Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) database includes the option to choose a “serverless” infrastructure where Oracle autonomously operates all aspects of the database life cycle from database placement to backup and updates.

Oracle Functions is a serverless application platform that allows you to deploy and run your code without having to manage application servers or orchestrate containers.

In this session we’re going to explore how we can use Oracle ATP and Oracle Functions to deliver a serverless stack where the infrastructure is all operated by Oracle, leaving us free to concentrate on delivering functionality to the business.
